She could no longer take the irresponsibility of her husband. She was already tired of the misery brought about by his enslavement on the stimulant.

They were once living harmoniously. Aunt “Susie” was a plain housewife, just tending their home, taking care of their three kids. Her husband was into the buying and selling junk business, but then later their capital run off and the business suffered bankruptcy. What my aunt did not know was that her husband was cracking on something. It was cocaine, introduced by a friend. He tried it and the next thing he knows, it was eating at his brain and he was dying to get his next hit. The tracks of needle pricks were very evident on the underside of his arm.

At first she was just thinking that it could just be one of those necessary medicines but then his moods were moving to and fro and the decrease in his weight was apparent. As the next few days progressed their finances were in chaos, and the more irritable he became and worse yet there’s nothing left in their savings account. Auntie had given him so many chances but then he resorted to pawning all their items so he could support his addiction. Their bickering became the usual anthem every morning. Until the day that auntie could no longer take it so she sent him away. Their children were suffering from ridicule from other kids in school. Because of what happened, the kids’ lives were a nightmare, streaked with hatred and now they are shattered and lost.

Days passed by after the incident, we heard that he is now behind the bars. He tried to snatch a ladies bag down the street. When asked, he stated that there was somebody who whispered and told him to do so. Now that he is in jail, he looks as miserable as ever as if the rewarding life had escaped from him. His jaw has dropped; his eyes were sunken. He looked as if something cold is torturing him when actually the heat of the sun was scorching outside.

So if you are a family man, if you are somebody whom you’re family depends on, before you take in your first hit, think about these questions.

Do you want to trust your fate under the control of authorities in jail or do you want to spend time behind the walls of the rehabilitation center trying to dry out? Do you want this same scenario to break your home into pieces? Do you want the foundation of love and respect that you have build up for so long to tumble down and just fade away? Do you want to contribute to the worsening dilemma of society? Do you want your children to grow up with the trauma and tremor of being parentless?

Now, think again! Don’t let this be your story. To find out more about cocaine relief see “Cocaine Addict – The Person“

Cocaine Effect – the Buzz to the Crash

Let’s face it, most of us started with a hit of cocaine to get the effect, the buzz. Little did we know the real long term effects on health and lifestyle.
<div style=”display:block;float:left;margin: 0px 5px 5px 5px;”>

The initial hit sends your brain into an upward spiral. With a sudden boost in blood pressure and a simultaneous restriction of blood vessels, it spikes the blood system. Cocaine also elevates the pleasure producing molecules, dopamine, serotonin, and noradrenaline. These combined fluctuations give the buzz.

With such spikes to the blood system elements, especially the heart and brain cells, there is always a great chance that a stroke or heart attack can occur. Not to mention that this also causes a deterioration of brain cells through lack of oxygen.

When the cocaine dissipates in the system, and the system levels out, the user has lost their balance of normality and the brain feels depraved. This is the dilemma for someone who can not control their desires, the mental battle begins. Often depression sets in after a high because the brain feels deprived of the pleasure elevation that it had felt. In time this will go away, but it is a struggle to fight it until it does.

The user will feel terrible when they are not high, because their dopamine levels have dropped down to normal. The brain has developed a tolerance and does not recognize normal and therefore does not feel right. The brain is calling for a high so it is telling the body that it is lacking, hence it feels low, depression. Because the cocaine works so powerfully on the brain, it makes it one of the hardest addictions to overcome.

When the user feels low and the brain is calling for a high and the user submits to the desire, the roller coaster feeling of addiction becomes a reality. You go up and you come down, you go up and you come down. High then low, then high then low, over and over again. It gets to a point of high then crash, then high then crash.

In the meantime lifestyles and personalities drastically deteriorate. Family and friends are overlooked in the desire for the next high, ever so hopeful that a crash does not happen – but it always does.

The importance of constantly being on guard comes back around today as the hospitalization of Whitney Houston is publicized. Whitney was one of the fastest rising stars in the late 1980′s selling over 170 million records.
<div style=”display:block;float:left;margin: 0px 5px 5px 45px;”>

Then came her bout with cocaine. As many do when they have to deal with stress and marital problems. One radio station in 2001 reported that she quoted “I am my worst enemy.” This is a situation many find their-selves in at times. She said on Oprah’s talk show, “I took so many drugs that I forgot I”m a singer.”

However the blotting out of the pain and stress is not worth the long term affects of the addiction which will come with it. When you kick the addiction, it will constantly try to slip up on you again. It has been claimed by “In Touch” magazine that she is on the cocaine again, that she was seen snorting.

This confirms the fact that you have to be constantly on guard. No matter who you are, it can slip up on you.

A 2-25-2010 news article in the thecalifornian.com tells of a situation which shows how a cocaine habit can get out of control. This elementary school principal is charged with cocaine possession, animal abuse and possession of child pornography. This man has let his life get out of control, as often happens when you get addicted to cocaine.

The former Greenfield Elementary School principal pleaded no contest Wednesday to charges of grand theft, possession of cocaine and animal cruelty. This is nearly two years after his arrest.

Consider the two years of tension, stress on family, loss of job and all that goes with that. Even though he has volunteered to check into a rehab program. The life and family is shattered. The depth that drugs can take you is a deep pit that sometimes takes a long time to come out of. Even if the rehab works and he cleans up, the recovery of character is a big hurdle. It can be done, and is done everyday. Those of us who look back will all agree, that we despise the day we took that first hit.
